I am a Registered Health and Life Coach, married 35 years with two grown children. I have a passion for life, family, the outdoors and living a balanced lifestyle - something I attribute to my Finnish genes.
Before becoming a registered health and life coach in 2020, my past career experience included over 10 years in the field of health with the Federal Government and NGO's, owner of an Edible Arrangements and several experiences with teaching and coaching.
Although I now coach others with their health goals, back in 2007, I too had to make changes to my diet as my energy wasn't where I wanted it to be and I was suffering from brain fog as well as inexplicable aches and pains.
Overall, I felt that I had lost my Zen. By switching to a whole foods diet, along with increased self care, the brain fog lifted as did my spirits. With this increased positive energy, I was then able to tackle life's stressors with more resilience.
A degree in Recreation Studies helped shape my view that movement and play continue to have a positive impact in our lives no matter our age.
I split my time between Ottawa and the Tremblant area
A Coach is a mentor, motivator, and guide that focuses on helping people improve their overall mental and physical health. Although a doctor may tell a patient to ‘eat less, exercise more, take their meds', the Coach can be the resource who is there to provide support to the client during that weekly or bi-weekly check-in.
Clients come to me for help for any of the following and more: prioritizing their self-care, to switch to a healthier diet to improve their energy and mood, to incorporate movement into their busy lives, to manage stress, to live more fully in the present.
Together we explore what’s been holding a client back, understanding that the brain and body are totally connected. I then personalize a plan to go forward.
